Bumps on my dogs chest?

My 9 year old Maltese has a big purple lump on her side. It's bellow her armpit, on her chest, near her . I ped my fingers over it and I noticed that inside of the lump theres little . I don't know what to make of it. Im curious of what it might be, Im taking her to the vet this weekend.
