Scoliosis back pain: Will new doctor change meds(they don't work)?

Been on a lot of different pain medications for my back pain from scoliosis. My recent doctor first prescribed me tramadol (didn't work) then prescribed me darvocet (also doesn't work) and now i have to change doctors (financial reasons) to a "free clinic" doctor to treat my pain and i was wondering if i tell him my last doctor prescribed tramadol then darvocet for my pain but neither helped what other kind of pain reliever would he prescribe me? Or would he just tell me Theres no other pain medicine he can prescribe? I already now he can treat my pain I'm just curious to see whats likely to happen then.
