How 2 make dog more at home?

ok my bro is brining his dog to live with me but i'm not sure how she will react being in a new enviroment what can i do to make her fell more at home in my house also all her toys and her other stuff hasen't come yet all i have is her lil shirt that's all and a bouncy ball i may be getting another lil dog and i'm also not sure about how she will react to that plz help me make her more at home thx!
