New 55 W/ 6" male Dempsey?

I put my 6 inch dempsey in my new 55 gallon tank that was cycled. He has been in there for about 3 days now and he was happy in the beginning but now he is at the top and stressed/light colored. He will eat frozen brine shrimp but will not eat feeder fish. What is wrong and what should i do?
